What is the shape of the vessel she slips into our hands as she leaves the table, and what will we do with it? How does she inspire us to pour ourselves out in the days to come? As we enter into Holy Week and the drama that will ring loud in the coming days, perhaps we might also make a space for quietly brave gestures of beauty and grace, and for artful and intimate acts of compassion that become balm for a wounded world.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Sacred Worth<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">(For all who love<br \/>\nbeyond the boundaries)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Your touch threatens<br \/>\nthe way<br \/>\nthey say<br \/>\nyou must approach<br \/>\nthe holy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cLimits!\u201d<br \/>\nthey say,<br \/>\n\u201cGod lives<br \/>\nin these limits!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But you dance<br \/>\nbeyond the boundaries<br \/>\nto the center of your selves,<br \/>\nyour lives like vessels<br \/>\nfilling up<br \/>\nand spilling over.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cWaste!\u201d<br \/>\nthey cry,<br \/>\n\u201cShameful gift!\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But the broken jar<br \/>\nbelies the grace within.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And we laugh sometimes<br \/>\nat the beauty that emerges<br \/>\nand we weep sometimes<br \/>\nfor the jagged edges<br \/>\nfor those who do<br \/>\nwhat they have the power to do<br \/>\nand are mocked<br \/>\nby the powers that be<br \/>\nfor those who miss<br \/>\nthe meaning of the act:<br \/>\n<em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">that this is essence<br \/>\nthat this is all.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Closing Blessing<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Blessed are you<br \/>\nwho touch with<br \/>\nintegrity and grace,<br \/>\nfor you give flesh<br \/>\nto the good news<br \/>\nof Christ.<\/p>\n<p><em>From <strong>Sacred Journeys<\/strong> \u00a9 Jan L.
